Product use

This product is suitable for power supply and distribution in lines with AC 50 Hz rated voltage of 0.6/1 kV.

Usage characteristics

  • The maximum rated temperature of cable conductor is 70°C.

  • The maximum temperature of cable conductor shall not exceed 160°C during short circuit (the longest duration shall not exceed 5 s).

  • When laying cables, the ambient temperature shall not be lower than 0°C. The minimum bending radius is: for single-core unarmored cables, 20 times the outer diameter of cable; for single-core armored cables, 15 times the outer diameter of cable; for multi-core non-armored cables, 15 times the outer diameter of cable, and for multi-core armored cables, 12 times the outer diameter of cable.

Cable operation and laying conditions

Cable laying

  • When laying, the cable temperature shall not be lower than 0°C, and when the ambient temperature is lower than 0°C, the cable shall be preheated.

  • The minimum bending radius for laying is: for single-core unarmored cables, 20 times the outer diameter of cable; for single-core armored cables, 15 times the outer diameter of cable; for multi-core non-armored cables, 15 times the outer diameter of cable, and for multi-core armored cables, 12 times the outer diameter of cable.

  • After the cable is laid, it shall undergo DC withstand voltage test for 15 minutes and the test voltage is 3.5 kV.

Laying in the air

  • When single-core cable is laid in parallel, the center distance is: for 185 mm and below, 2 times the cable diameter, and for 240 mm and above, 90 mm.

  • Ambient temperature: 30℃。

  • Maximum allowable temperature of conductive core: 70℃。

Usage characteristics

0.6/1 kV PVC insulated and sheathed refractory power cable is designed and produced according to GB/T12706-2008 (equivalent to IEC60502 standard), and its physical and electrical properties are the same as those of ordinary plastic cable. Its fire resistance meets GB/T19666-2005. That is to say, the cable can maintain normal operation for 90min under rated voltage of 0.6/1 kV and flame combustion at 750-800°C.
